It started the way these things often do, in a moment of loss.

It started maybe like it does for many people, after a difficult time in life.
For me, that was my divorce.
A moment where something closed and at the same time something opened.
I didn’t know yet what was changing, only that I wasn’t the same anymore.
New people came on my path.
Different conversations.
Different ways of being in a body.
I wasn’t looking for kink or energy work on that moment.
It just showed up, quietly.

It all started with my first shibari lesson.
That experience stayed with me longer than I expected.
Not only because of the ropes, but because of what happened inside me.
My breath changed. My body reacted before my thoughts did.
Something softened. Something woke up.
These feelings were completely new to me.
Talking upfront about needs and boundaries like this was new too.
Clear. Slow. Present.
It surprised me how safe that felt.
I didn’t really know what kink was. I had no experience.
I met it through my body, not through ideas.
And that surprised me most of all.
I noticed I wanted more of this.
Not more intensity. More presence. More listening.
As a next step I touched a small introduction into tantra.
Nothing big. Nothing dramatic.
Just slowness.
Presence.
Being seen without having to perform.
It felt unfamiliar.
And at the same time, safe.
